Slide 3 RCM with Avantis.PRO

Slide 4 Reliability-Centered Maintenance RCM provides information to enable decision making about processes and procedures to meet company goals Typical results of RCM include: Maintenance developing/adjusting maintenance schedules Operations making procedural changes Engineering design changes © Invensys 4

Slide 5 RCM within Avantis.PRO Application enables RCM processes through: Collection of failure information (which may also be routed through Approvals) Recording statistics Recording downtime Definition of checkpoints Gathers raw data and does basic RCM analysis Time to failure by various criteria (standard cabinets) Open to the exchange of information with analysis tools. © Invensys 5

Slide 6 Benefits Provides ability to: Apply RCM only to critical entities where the impact of failure is more extensive, e.g. –Safety –Environmental –Production critical –Regulatory/statutory requirements Control accuracy and completeness of failure information by directing it through an approval process at time of entry

Slide 7 RCM – Reliability tracking on entity Reliability tab/view Indicates if entity is reliability managed Defines when the reliability information is to be recorded Defines general function (informational purposes only) Defines cost of production downtime and cost of maintenance delays

Slide 8 RCM – Tracking failure at WO planning ‘Generate failure analysis information’ check box Indicates need to calculate ‘Time to failure’ (TTF) TTF calculated: –By ‘Root cause’ –By ‘Reason for failure’ Avantis auto-creates & posts activity from WO closing from posting of failure information on activity or closing of work order Changes of failure values results in a recalculation of TTF

Slide 9 RCM – Tracking failure at WO closing Failure analysis information can be recorded at work order close Can be made mandatory Consequence of failure 2 user-defined values available Labels can be defined through business policies Information populated on Failure tab of work order

Slide 10 Tracking failure on activity records Failure activity created automatically when ‘Generate failure analysis information’ feature is used ‘Failure’ and ‘Last Failure’ tabs added to activity record –accessible through Activity history view on entity and in activity log cabinet. –Allows for corrections to failure times / information Changes in failure values results in recalculation

Slide 11 RCM – Failure Information Failure Equipment Activity Record Last failure information moved to new tab

Slide 12 RCM - Approval Business policies to send failure information for approval Work task failure Time card failure Equipment activity failure If appropriate business policies are “on,” failure information is sent for approval when: When a work task is closed Time card is posted Failure Equipment Activity record is changed

Slide 13 RCM - Approval Failure Approval Information cabinet contains all failure records sent for approval. From this cabinet, can launch the Approve Failure Information object to view the failure information and status of approval.

Slide 14 RCM - Approval Can change failure information and re-send for approval

Slide 15 Maintenance Map New function Requires separate license (included in Release 5.0) Allows visualization of maintenance status of entity hierarchy Uses treemap control –Nested rectangles –Summary data –Drill-down capabilities

Slide 16 Maintenance Map Provides overview of health of entity hierarchy Allows maintenance user or manager to identify problem areas at a glance Data updated according to defined schedule

Slide 17 Maintenance Map – Location and Accessing Located on Maintenance Manager workspace in the Functions folder When accessed user is prompted to choose an entity whose physical hierarchy is to be displayed in the tree map Resulting display is based on data extracted by a new processor (the EAM processor) © Invensys

Slide 18 EAM Processor Data is extracted via EAM Processor (Enterprise Asset Management Processor) service EAM Processor is a Windows service, and is installed as a server component Run from the Avantis Administration Tool plug-in

Slide 19 EAM Processor Settings Extraction parameters are configured in the Avantis Administration Tool Weight factors for on time and past due scheduled work tasks

Slide 20 EAM Processor - Requirements In order to be extracted and displayed successfully: - Work tasks tied to the entities are in an open state - At least one RIME factor is populated on the entities in the hierarchy Entities and work orders not meeting these requirements will not appear in the map © InvensysInvensys

Slide 21 RIME Factor and Ranking Index RIME  Ranking Index for Maintenance Expenditures - A value (0-99) assigned to the Criticality, Priority and Work Type values used to calculate the ranking index on work documents. Ranking index - A value calculated for a work order based on the RIME factors assigned to the entity’s Criticality and Priority values, and on the Work Type value associated with the work orders referencing the entity - Calculated as: Criticality RIME factor*Priority RIME factor*Work Type RIME factor - If no RIME factors are populated, ranking index is null - If some but not all RIME factors are populated, those that are not are assigned a value of 1 - If a ranking index exists on a work order, value can be seen in the Status view © Invensys

Slide 22 EAM Processor – Health calculation Performed with a database stored procedure Takes into account open work tasks, open work tasks that are past due, and RIME factor Health values are recalculated on each run of the processor

Slide 23 Roll-Up Health Index Calculation Roll up health index is defined as the average health of a parent entity and its children Calculated as an average of the individual health indexes for each entity in the family So if parent A has health of 60, child B has health of 15 and child C has a perfect health rating of 100 and no open work, the roll-up health is: (60+15+100)/3 = 58.3 In the tree, A would appear green, B would appear red, and C would not appear as it has no open tasks © Invensys

Slide 24 Maintenance Map Monitoring Entities using Maintenance Map When launched, Maintenance Map displays top 3 levels of physical hierarchy Health is instantly displayed by: –Relative size of entity on map –Color intensity –Tooltip information

Slide 25 Maintenance Map Using Maintenance Map Drill capability (up or down) –By single level –To top or bottom of hierarchy Zoom functionality (in or out) –Zoom directly to specific entity Ruler Control –Allows filtering of data –Left side is low health, health rises to right –User can click and drag “brackets” to limit entities to be displayed, e.g. Only display entities whose health is below a defined value

Slide 26 Maintenance Map Accessing Maintenance Map Available on the Maintenance Manager desktop

Slide 27 Maintenance Map Accessing Maintenance Map Securable by user/profile

Slide 28 Maintenance Map Accessing Maintenance Map Allows User to select starting entity to analyze

Slide 29 Maintenance Map Accessing Maintenance Map Authorized users can access Maintenance Map from Entity

Slide 30 Maintenance Map Map displays health entity and its children

Slide 31 Maintenance Map Slide 31 Tooltip Ruler Control Map displays health of entity and its children
