3 The Gentlemen of the road
Turn to page 357 and read "The Gentlemen of the Road” On a half sheet of paper, answer the Test Practice questions on page 259. We will be correcting and discussing these, so don’t turn it in.

4 “The highwayman” Think about what you learned in “Gentlemen of the Road”. Preview the text: look at the pictures and the footnotes on 
the bottom of the pages (there are a lot of old English words, 
so this will be necessary for your understanding! Skim and scan the whole narrative poem and make a 
prediction about this is about. Make the prediction in your Poetry Daily Work file. I think this poem will be about_________because_________.
