3. Foot Length and Shoe Size First Objective Find ten males and ten females who agree to have you measure their feet.

4. Second Objective For each person measure each foot (without shoes) to the nearest 1/8 of an inch, and record the persons shoe size. If the two feet are different length, take the larger of the two measurements. For instances, one womans feet are 9 5/8 inches long, and she wears a size 7 shoe.

5. Third Objective Make two graphs, one showing how mens shoe size varies with foot length, the other showing the relation between womens shoe size and foot length. In each graph, plot foot length on the x-axis.

6. Fourth Objective Are the graphs approximately linear? If so, find equations for them.

9. Random and Scattered Points You may have noticed that the points on both graphs are scattered and random. This is due to the fact that the show manufacturers, companies, and people were all different.
