Project Proposal: BI Bunch GUI  A new BI GUI  Imagined by Rhodri, Lars and Jean-Jacques Gras  Basics:  Gather bunch-by-bunch info from all BI devices that do bunch- by-bunch Schottky (Daemon) Fast BCT BSRT (soon)  Concentrated in one place a Daemon  Republish in coherent manner  Create a GUI Configure the Daemon Allow easy access to all bunch-by-bunch data  Proposal letter (pre-requirements) coming  Audience: LAFS team, BI group, P. Proposal: LSA DB Config GUIs  Katarina and Stephane  Need a simpler way to configure the LSA device database  LSA Database being pushed into injector  Have existing tools, but must be replaced  Configure front ends directly, through a non-standard interface  But easy for PS-Complex operators to use  LHC/SPS Situation?  Only Extreme experts can configure  Requires raw SQL (through Benthic) LAFS 19 20 April 2010

LSA DB Config GUIs, cont’d  A limited number of GUIs are required  Less than ten?  But we would develop the pattern for making more  Stephane will write a proposal letter  Target: LAFS team, E. Hatziangeli, M. Lamont, P. Collier and R.
