Concurrency  The premise of concurrency is that public facilities and services will be available concurrent with the impacts of development  Local government sets LOS standards, and concurrency ensures that those LOS standards will be achieved and maintained Overview

Level of Service (LOS) Standards  Identified for concurrency-related facilities  Parks and recreation  Roads  Schools  Solid waste  Stormwater  Water and wastewater  Provide a quantitative tool to analyze the impacts of land use changes Overview

Financial Feasibility  Must demonstrate ability to achieve and maintain adopted LOS standards  For any facilities required to achieve LOS:  Projects in FY1-FY3 must be funded through a committed funding source  Projects in FY4-FY5 may be funded by committed or planned sources Overview

Funding Sources  Committed funding source: An existing source and amount of revenue presently available to a local government  Planned funding source: A revenue source not currently available, such as a potential grant Overview

Capital Improvements Element  Includes  Location and timing of needed facilities  Principles for construction, extension or increase in facility capacity  Principles for correcting existing deficiencies  Estimated costs and projected revenue sources  A capital improvements schedule (CIS) that ensures that adopted LOS standards are achieved and maintained Overview
