1 What Are We Doing Here??

2 Jeremiah 8:11–12 [The preachers] dress the wound of my people as though it were not serious. “Peace, peace,” they say, when there is no peace. Are they ashamed of their loathsome conduct? No, they have no shame at all; they do not even know how to blush.

3 So they will fall among the fallen; they will be brought down when they are punished, says the Lord.

4 The primary purpose of the church is to glorify God.

5 Mission Includes: Destiny, a purpose for which one is destined; or calling. a Sender, a duty on which someone is sent as a representative

6 Mission Includes: Destiny a Sender Authority, sent out with authority to perform a special duty. Distinction, a special purpose unique from others.

7 The Purpose of the Church is to: Worship God for His greatness –Worship Witness to the world of Jesus Christ – Evangelism Welcome believers into the church – Fellowship

8 The Purpose of the Church is to: Worship Evangelism Fellowship Live and teach obedience to Christ – Discipleship Work to meet needs in the church and the world – Ministry

9 Ε ὐ αγγέλιον eu-an-gel-ion good –message Good News!

10 Luke 19:10 “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost.”

11 1 Timothy 3:16 Beyond all question, the mystery of godliness is great: He appeared in a body, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory.

12 1. Every lost person will be tormented forever in the Lake of Fire.

22 5. God enables us to share Jesus with others.

23 Acts 1:8 “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

24 6. Time is short.

25 7. God is good.

26 Revelation 14:13 Then I heard a voice from heaven say, "Write: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on." "Yes," says the Spirit, "they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them."
