2 Overview Goal: Develop SWE Leadership Pipeline and/or enable SWE members to use SWE experiences to develop their careers Professional SWE Members Only Program launches after WE14, Sign-ups & Matching complete in mid December Official program runs December – June Second call for mentors will be in January Mix of live sessions and offline resources provided during year

3 Enrollment Process Launch right after Region J mtg at WE14 Mentor sign-up in November Mentee sign-up from 12/1 – 12/12 Matching the following week Complete survey for enrollment: Link to Mentor survey Link to Mentee survey

4 Timeline MonthActivity September 2014Begin advertising, host booth at SWE CRS Membership Kick-Off October 2014Kick off program at WE14 Region J meeting, begin enrollment process November/Decemb er 2014 Complete matching, send out matches & mentor/mentee packets by mid December December 2014Official kick-off meeting (live & recorded) w/expectations & LCC module on mentoring January 2015Provide offline information on awards – encourage mentors to focus on that topic this month February 2015Check in with mentors/mentees, do live session on different SWE roles (role overviews at different levels, SWE 101) March 2015Provide information on section elections, society elections, and committees April 2015Provide information on building SWE career maps (provide as resource) May 2015Live sharing session on program outcomes, mentors/mentees share career maps & next steps June 2015Do exit surveys & close out program

6 FY14 Mentoring Program Learnings More Mentees signed up than Mentors Learning: Enroll Mentors first SWE members interested in mentorship for more than just building the SWE officer pipeline Learning: Market as program to achieve multiple goals Mentors/Mentees not always sure what to talk about Learning: Provide packets of information & guidance on monthly topics (with necessary information )
