2. 2015 TEAm Grant Innovations Convening – Tampa, FL Entry Examination Boot-Camps FIU ensures that students are prepared for major-area coursework by requiring students to pass an entry examination The exam assesses knowledge of Principles of Accounting, usually taught as second-year course Students must score 75% to be admitted into third-year accounting coursework 2

3. 2015 TEAm Grant Innovations Convening – Tampa, FL Boot-Camps While FIU offers a semester-long review course, we believed that an intensive boot- camp directly before the exam would help students concentrate We initiated the boot-camp with TEAm grant money in the Summer of 2014.
