5 55 Sanitary Works –Implementation of Sanitary works : Accuracy in levels and dimensions and location of units. Fixing of units. Area for maintenance. Joints and tiles cutting. The system of sanitary depends on gravity, therefore size of pipes is larger than water pipes, and the use of enough slope. Size of pipes depends on the sanitary units and no. of units. The importance to use vents for air disposal. The use of traps to prevent the entrance of gazes. Use of outlets for cleaning. Sanitary disposal to general sewer line or to septic tank. Sanitary pipes materials: RC, Asbestos, PVC, Cast iron. Enough Depth of pipes. Manholes: size, distances, design, slope. The head of the pipe is in an opposite direction of flow. Lay clean sand under and above pipes. The use of rubber rings for pipes connections ( حلقات مطاطية لوصل الأنابيب البلاستيك وتستخدم للأنابيب الخرسانية حبال الكتان المشبعة بروبة الاسمنت)

6 66 Water Supply –Use of water: For human direct use ( cook, drinking, washing,..etc.) For heating Firefighting –Supply of Water: Public water supply Water wells Water storages –System of water source connection

7 77 Water Supply –Notes for water supply system: The system of water distribution goes under pressure Therefore, there must be enough pressure to supply water and resists pressure. Isolation and insulation of pipes. Use of valves to control the circulation of water. Use of copped air chambers and vents for water pressure hammer. Do not lay water pipes through sanitary system or through polluted earth. Lay pipes in a sufficient depth to prevent it from loads and vibration. The use of unions ( ( جوزto ease the dismantling of pipes for maintenance. Use of sleeves when pipes pass through walls or floors. Materials of pipes: Galvanized steel, PVC, Polyethylene, copper, …etc. Leave distance for maintenance when lay pipes.
