1 VISUAL LEARNING – Interview with learners Our target group: Adults which are participating at training programmes Adults who wants to learn foreign languages Teachers and trainers who train adults (improvement skills field, vocational courses)

2 The first interview with learners Straights -the implication of participants/learners in the discussion, even it is a new subject for them and they don’t have any experience in this area - the interest and the desire to learn more about this subject of the participants (they manifest their interest in this subject, they asked about the visual learning web address. Weaknesses -the difficulties in gathering a group with 5-7 persons in the same time ( they are adults and they don’t have enough time to spend with us at this interview). Also, they don’t have a motivation in that respect. - we had difficulties when we try to write up all the information that learners give us because we were also concentrated to the organizational aspect (we recorded the interview)

3 Question 4: Was it difficult to understand or to deal with visual symbols within the field of new media. What kind of competences does it need? How did you succeed? The interviewers had difficulties when they try to answer at this question because they specified that they learned new visual symbols in an “unconscious” way. They didn’t realize that they need specific competences to deal with new media.
