3 Portraiture Image Lee Jeffries Portraiture is one of the most widespread photographic genres. It captures human face. Almost everyone wants to capture family members, friends or extraordinary people or wants to remember own face at specific age. Capturing young models of peculiar beauty, old people wrinkles telling stories, or members of various nations offers a lot of artistic possibilities.

Sometimes people play roles, one does not need to be a professional actor to change roles in everyday life. Good photographer knowspsyche and captures personal individual charisma.

Attractive world of fashion is great source of inspiration for photographers. Fashion shoots are often idealized and retouched to look beautiful. But there are many photographers who prefer shooting natural models. Fashion shoots can be captured in studio as well as in extraordinary backround such as factories, cities or exotic nature.

8 Animals and wildlife photography Wildlife photography depicts animals, wonderful creatures. It might be dangerous depending on conditions and selected animals. Fur, fears, skaneskin or other body parts have interesting patterns. Telescopic lenses are suitable for capturing animals from distance, macro lenses for capturing little insects.

9 Landscape Nature is real mother of arts with spectacular sceneries. Forests and rainforests, highlands with mountains, lowlands, lakes and dramatic waterfalls or colourful flower fields are all beautiful areas suitable for shooting anytime.

10 Yellowstone, California, USA. Various weather conditions can change landscape mood from calm, beautiful landscape to dramatic unpredictable scenes. Fog, haze, dew, showers change change usual scenes to peculiar.

11 Seascape Seascape depicts seas and oceans. Large water areas such as seas or oceans often provide dramatic sceneries of waves and cloudy sky.

12 Cityscape Shanghai city at night. Photography depicts cities from distant point of view. Scenes are often captured from bird's eye- view.

13 Sky and skyscape Sky always changes colours. Various filters are produced to highlight its contrast, also for black-and-white photography.

14 Architecture Architecture Architecture offers variety of compositions, due to its abstract shapes and various materials, often colourful or light-reflecting.materials

15 Exterior Depicts architecture from outside view („in vitro“).

17 Still life Depicts inanimate, non-living subjects arranged in artistic composition. Various object's shapes and materials influence the final composition. Also lightning has strong impact.

18 Fashion still life This genre of photography depicts accessories only. Earrings or rings, Bracelets, necklaces, shoes, handbags, gloves, scarves or watches have interesting shapes, different materials or outstanding colours.

19 Close –up and macro photography Close- up photography depicts a scene from small distance (see image above). Macro photography is captured with specific macro lenses. It also represents object from close distance but it is able to capture details more preciously.

20 Photojournalism Quickly records and reports information collected during short period of time. It is an instant message. Photographs must not be altered since their purpose is to present the truth.

21 Documentary photography Mio Cade: A curious child looking out from a hut. Apart from photojournalism, it collects and reports information captured during long period of time. It usually conveys humanistic message, shows serious social issues. Likewise photojournalistic photographs, documentary photographs must not be altered since their purpose is to present the truth.

22 Conceptual photography Conceptual photography is closely relating to conceptual art, it represents some idea, points out something artist intend us to think about. It is full of imagination, witty and often provocative.
