9 Bridges Foundation This organization helps those with special needs “work and get paid,” while also providing them with fun opportunities and things to do during the day. The Bridges facility is located at 1813 N. Ash Jenks, OK 74037, right across from the Jenks Softball field and a quick 10 min walk from the school (if you are not able to drive). 10 American Therapeutic Riding Center “ A place where individuals with physical, cognitive or emotional challenges enjoy therapeutic horseback riding year round.”

11 Volunteer Opportunities American Therapeutic Riding Center offers many areas of volunteer opportunities: Horse leading Side walker Tacking Facility maintenance Feeding Horse health care Fundraising & Events General & Specialty Office Assistance Etc.

12 What is Therapeutic Riding? Therapeutic riding uses equine oriented activities for the purpose of contributing positively to the cognitive, physical, emotional and social well being of individuals with varying types and degrees of special needs through adaptive riding and therapeutic riding. Equine activities are used to achieve goals, with the horse being a strong motivator for accomplishing these goals. Emphasis is on a positive, enjoyable, and relaxing experience that provides additional therapeutic benefits in the areas of socialization, posture, strength, mobility, and an overall improved quality of life.
