8 Responsibilities & Benefits of Partnership Annually visit construction sites of the participating members through our consultation service Ensure that fatality, injury, and illness rates are reduced through a continuous monitoring system Randomly visit a percentage of the sites with enforcement Exemption from programmed inspections

9 Future Partnerships ? Long Term Care Facilities (SIC 805) - 560 employers - 36,200 employees - 12.8 - Highest total case rate for largest industry sector at the three digit SIC level as published in 1999 BLS statistics for Iowa

10 Partnerships Allow us to Meet Nearly Each of the Elements in Our Strategic Plan Reduction in Injury/Illness Rates and Fatalities Utilize Consultation Services Develop Safety & Health Programs Small Employer Outreach Stakeholders Involvement
