3 OCEANAK Reporting Project  Oracle Business Intelligence (BI)  Oracle Data Warehouse Who: Commercial Fisheries What: Common Web Based Reporting Tool – Internal reporting (to start) Why: Common tool for all, replace desktop applications, support eLandings needs.  Protect one of the most valuable data resources in the country!

5 OCEANAK Project Benefits  Provides 'real-time' data access for eLandings Fisheries  Replaces the reporting functionality for all Fish Ticket applications.  Provides a reporting tool for new applications  Reduces desktop installations  Omits development of custom applications for reporting by computer services staff  Provides a view of data across regions, areas, and time  Provides a common user experience and location  Shares training resources amongst technical staff with a common product  Omits duplication of programming efforts (design once – use many times)  Provides quick development by programming staff and user friendly tool for end users
