A circular loop of copper having a diameter of 10cm carries a current of 500mA. Calculate the magnetic moment associated with the loop. A Paramagnetic material has 1028 atoms/m3. Its susceptibility at 350K is 2.8X10-4. Calculate the susceptibility at 300K. The magnetic field in the interior of a central solenoid has the value of 6.5X10-4 Tesla when solenoid is empty. When it is filled with Iron, the field becomes 1.3Tesla. Find the relative permeability of Iron.

2 Find the relative permeability of a Ferro-magnetic material if a field of strength 220amp/m produces a magnetization 3300amp/m in it. The magnetic flux intensity in a piece of ferric oxide is 106 A/m. If the susceptibility of the material is 1.5X10-3, calculate the magnetization of the material and flux density. A paramagnetic material has a magnetic field intensity of 104A/m. If the susceptibility of the material at room temperature is 3.7X10-3, calculate the magnetization and flux density in the material.

Calculate Ms for iron with lattice parameter A° having BCC structure. Ni has FCC structure with lattice parameter as 3.52 A°. The magnetic moment of Ni atom is 0.6 Bohr magneton. Calculate the saturation mag. of Ni. MS = 0.6 µB N

4 The MS for Co is 14.48X105 A/m given that density of Co is 8900 Kg/m3 and its atomic weight is 59. Calculate the spin magnetic moment of Co atom in terms of Bohr magneton. The Ms for iron is 1750KA/m. calculate net magnetic moment for Fe atom in the crystal. Determine Hysteresis loss per cycle with loop has an area 100 units, When the axes are drawn in units of 0.01 Web/m2 and 40A/m.
