3. Volcanoes are cracks in the earths crust when there is to much pressure liquid magma shoots into the crust and a volcano is formed. Firstly its active for 1,000 years secondly its dormant which might erupt in 10-20 years i put it like a rest. Then after 10,000 years its stops and dies. extinct dormant active

4. People thought Mount Vesuvius was a mountain. Really is was a volcano. When the people of Pompeii found out, it was too late. Because they only had half an hour to live before all the toxins got into their bodies and suffocated them. Families and infants were also covered in ash.
