Goals - examination of the topic „money“ at an early stage (preventive) - procurement of information on the basis of practical examples - highlight/show age-specific possibilities - make experience in a safe setting - to break the „money-taboo („One should talk about money!“) - to encourage a reflection about the own consumer behaviour - to indicate the traps for debts - to discuss possibilities for the way out - to address the topic of life planning

4. Graduated scheme and Modules Depending on the age, adolescents have different possibilities and also different interests concerning the contact with money and the use of it. The driving licence for finances in Vorarlberg matches these specific needs with his three degrees: S (10/11 years) M (14/15 years) L (16-18 years)

Degree S: „Even the spending of the pocket-money needs to be learned…“ Providers for module of degree S: IfS-consultancy for indebtedness Banks BIZ (centre for career guidance) Already at the age of 10/11 years, many children and adolescents dispose a certain amount of financial resources. Together  personal interaction with money is reflected,  the possibilities and limits of money are discussed,  the circulation of money is traced,  wishes, objectives and needs are reviewed,  and much more

6. Degree M: „What is the price for the amusement? Or: Where does amusement finish?“ As mature minors, 14/15 year-old do already have a considerable financial scope. Thus, information for example concerning the bank sector (cash card, account, saving, …), about the rights and duties in society or also regarding the decision between school and apprenticeship are very important. The providers of this module take a stand and communicate age-based knowledge around these topics. 7. Degree L: „Does life planning or future plannig really require knowledge in calculation?“ The degree L of the driving licence for finances aims at adolescents between 16 and 18 years. Car, driving licence, handy, leisure and habitation are not only topics that bother more and more people, but even constitute very often the first traps for debts. On the basis of practical examples, information drawn from life and concerning the own financial resources are procured.
