2 What is Inquiry Based Math Curriculum? Student centered Student driven Student’s are the ones doing the work  Teachers are just facilitators.  Keep the students on task by asking the necessary questions to keep them thinking critically.  Essentially, the students are teaching the math to themselves with the guidance of the teacher and their peers.

3 Project Based Learning Shows gains in students’ critical thinking and communication skills. 7 essential elements for meaningful projects  1. Driving question  2. Meaningful to the student  3. Students need a voice or choice in the project  4. Opportunity to build 21 st century skills and to use technology that will be useful to them in life and the workplace.

4 Project Based Learning  5. Enable students to conduct real inquiry.  6. Students should receive feedback to use in revision.  7. Students should publicly present their work.
