What is FBLA? Locally – school club meeting twice a month that incorporates networking, socialization, community service, and competition State – hosts leadership conferences in the fall and spring (competition is in the spring) National – for students placing in the top two or three at state, a competition is held in late June to determine national champions

What does it take to join FBLA? State and National membership is $10. This membership is required to attend and compete at the conferences. For those interested in being involved with a school organization, but with no intention of participating in trips and contests, there is no cost.

What do we do? Social – games, video games, bowling, mini-golf, movies, etc. Service – Walk the Stalks, Salvation Army bellringing, Christmas cookies for staff Competition – UNL, Beatrice, and State Conference

First Order of Business 1. Fall Leadership Conference – Motivational Speakers and Training 7:15 to 3:30 on Wednesday, September 28 th Registration due Friday, September 9 th Must pay $25 before due date Must turn in a Medical Release form before conference Need to wear professional attire Bus leaves from Seacrest field 2. Member Recruitment

The Big Picture UNL Competition – November, cost $15 Beatrice Competition – February, cost $5 State Leadership Conference – March, cost $100 (registration and two nights hotel) National Leadership – appr. cost $1500 Fundraising – Ozark Delight Lollipops
