CAUSES Genetic and environmental factors are involved in causing Tourette’s Mostly inherited but no gene has been found A person with Tourette’s has a 50% chance of passing it on to children Environmental, infectious, and psychosocial factors while not causing Tourette’s will influence its severity Some people suggest that OCD and tic disorders like Tourette’s are caused by post streptococcal autoimmune processes

4. Management (or treatment)  Most cases don’t need medicine instead, psycho behavioral therapy education and reassurance may be sufficient treatment  Treatment can be divided into those that target tics and co morbid conditions  No cure and no on medicine for all individuals

How do they get that special therapy? TTTT.S.A (Tourette’s syndrome association) has many locations and support groups for both the parents and the children with the disorders MMMMany individual support groups started by parents exist where they mostly just have coffee and talk to other kids and parents of kids with the disorder
