2 Title 6 - Ozone  Regulates CFCs –major mining impacts –new refrigerants use more fluorspar –new refrigerants are less efficient in energy use causing wastage of electricity and increase loads –equipment with CFCs must be worked on by certified technicians can’t fix AC units in shop as easily

3 Title 7 - Enforcement  Agency can issue criminal and administrative penalties up to $25,000/day and $200,000 –Violations are tried by EPA and enforcement can rewrite anything as needed to make it stick  Field inspectors can fine $5,000/day  Compliance failures can be $500,000 for companies and $250,000 for individuals  Violations could be just errors in record keeping

4 Enforcement  Company officials can be imprisoned for 1 year if evidence exists that they knew about a violation  If violation can be construed to endanger a person can get 15 years

5 Remaining Titles  Mostly minor provisions for communities, small businesses, research, new technology development, unemployment transitions
