2. Remember the Titans is a true story. It’s 1971. In Alexandria, Virginia, a community where black students attend a black school and white students attend a white school. Times are just about to change…the local high schools have just been ordered to integrate into one: T.C. Williams High School, and the people of the community are divided on this issue.

3. Who will bring the Titans together as a team? Herman Boone—a black coach has been named head coach, replacing, Coach Bill Yoast, a white coach. How do you think the players will react to a new coach?

4. Summer Camp Before the season can begin, the team, both black and white players must come together and unite as one team if they have any hopes of winning even one game. What will it take to bring the team together? Can black and white players put away their own prejudices?

5. Not So Very Different At summer camp, the players and coaches realize something very important: They are not so different after all.

6. As you watch the film, track the games and note important events that happen at each game. What will it take to win? The Season

7. “The Right Stuff” Also as you watch the film, identify the character traits and qualities that put the Titans in a league of their own, “the best of the best.”
