Stanley is an obese boy who has always been nice but never courageous. As the story progresses he proves what kind of a person he really is.

He also is considered the stupidest kid but only because he doesn’t like to answer people’s questions. Although he can’t read he is amazingly good at math. Hector was the first one to really be Stanley’s friend. Stanley even taught him how to read they are so close. Hector’s mom is nowhere to be found and his dream is to hire a P.I. to find his family.

4. X-Ray & Boys Theodore is an okay guy but hates his real name and makes sure everyone knows it. Lewis hated Camp Green Lake so much he purposely stepped on a rattlesnake to get out. Brian is the newest edition to camp green lake. He’s there because he always has the urge to steal a car. Jose’ is at camp for stealing a puppy. His fingers are so sticky not even the camp counselors could catch him steal there sunflower seeds. Ricky is one of the meanest guys there. He even hit Stanley with the blade of his shovel. Alan is a nice guy but never really talks to Stanley. He doesn’t do much throughout the story. Rex is the leader of the group but not by size. He is selfish but helps the ones who help him. (Has Terrible Vision)

He is the only one who cares about the boy’s futures which is why he is nicknamed “Mom”. Mr. Sir is a mean and selfish man who deprived Stanley of water just to take his anger out on someone.
