5. The proposed recommendations from MPI are: 1. More and better guidance material on animal feeds - this was seen as particularly important at farm level – a NZFMA submission 2. More risk assessments with international reviews (a major submission of the NZFMA was that more work needed to be done to establish a genuine risk rather than a perceived risk) 3. Better clarity of Agricultural Compound and Veterinary Medicine terms and better targeted ACVM notices (this was seen as an issue for the pet food sector) 4. New ACVM regulations in areas such as labelling and more regular auditing of animal health product producers
