2.  WAF is one of the top 3 architectural events in the world where leading architects and interior designers from more than 65 countries exhibit their path-breaking designs and give live presentations on the design concept  Eminent and highly acclaimed architects and designers from across the world form the panel of judges who select the best designs across 30 categories from more than 700 entries received from the architects and designers  The winning entries are then awarded and displayed in the World Building Directory  The WAF awards are considered as highly prestigious and revered by the architect community across the world  The event as a whole showcases the path-braking developments in the world of design and architecture every year  WAF being the only festival which includes both Architecture and Interior Design categories (through INSIDE event for interiors), is immensely popular among the architects and designers across the world. 3.  WAF being the only festival which includes both Architecture and Interior Design categories (through INSIDE event for interiors), is immensely popular among the architects and designers across the world.  Since it is a paid event with very high entry fee and additional cost of travel and accommodation in Singapore, the event is attended by limited number of premium architects and designers only. Others from the fraternity in India and elsewhere generally do not get a chance to attend this event due to cost involved.  The architects and designers across the world recognize WAF as a niche and premium event and aspire to attend it if they get a chance  Eminent architects from India such as Sanjay Puri, Matharu Associates, Hyderabad Design Forum, Gayathri & Namitha, Edifice and many more participate in the event every year.  Generally the event is attended by around 15-20 architects and designers from India all of whom are A+ category architects.  Other architects and designers from India though aspiring to attend, do not get a chance to see the best designs in the field of architecture from across the world. 7.  Greenply in collaboration with Hyderabad Design Forum (an architectural body from Hyderabad) has entered in to an agreement with organizers of World Architectural Festival to bring the designs exhibited in the WAF – 2014 event to India for conducting a series of follow up events across various locations in the country under the banner of WAF Design Tour  The agreement gives the right to Greenply-Hyderabad Design Forum team to conceptualize and execute a series of seminars, conferences and exhibitions across the country where the designs (in form of design boards) from WAF – 2014 festival shall be exhibited for the benefit of architect/designer fraternity  The agreement further gives the right to this team to conduct all such events under the banner of World Architecture Festival  WAF organizers have also agreed to attend some of the events being planned as foreign delegates. The attendees would include Mr. Paul Finch who is one of the most respected and eminent architects of the world and also Program Director for WAF. CONCEPT

8.  WAF organizers will further help team Greenply-Hyderabad Design Forum in inviting some of the winners from WAF event (who happen to be prominent architects and designers from various countries)  WAF organizers have already displayed Greenply name in the list of their event sponsors and plan to send 2 mailers and issue a press release regarding the India tour of WAF  The WAF India tour was formally announced during the GALA DINNER cum AWARD CEREMONY held during the WAF festival at Singapore by Mr. Paul Finch  All the 700 designs of world’s best buildings across 30 categories of interior and exterior design displayed during WAF-2014 have been acquired by Greenply-Hyderabad Design Forum team and were being brought to India for exhibiting them in a series of events  The design boards will be used for exhibition and conferences for practicing architects/designers as well as for study tour exhibits for students from various architectural colleges CONTD.

10. SOFT LAUNCH OF WAF INDIA TOUR – IIT MUMBAI A soft launch of the event was done at IIT – Mumbai during IIA NATCON in December 2014. The event was announced to the design fraternity during this event and was launched by Mr. Prakash Deshmukh (President IIA) along with Mr. C Udaya (Vice Chairman – Council of Architecture) and Mrs. Jayshree Deshpande (Chairman – NIASA)

15. Smt. Scindia spend a considerable amount of time going through world’s best designs and appreciated the whole concept and role of Greenply in the same. She even offered to give state’s assistance if required to get the original WAF event to India

16. INAUGURATION (CONTD.) The inaugural event at Jaipur was also attended by Ar. Nitin Solarpurkar (National President – IIID). Mr. Solarpurkar spent more than 2 hours going through the WAF designs on display and pledged his full support to make this event tour a grand success.
