1 Fluid Bed Technology and Catalyst of Propane & Isobutane Dehydrogenation By ReZel Catalysts

2 Propane and Isobutane are relatively cheap petrochemical products, whereas propylene and isobutene are high value added products. Therefore, propylene production via propane dehydrogenation; isobutene production via isobutane dehydrogenation and further MTBE production via further reaction with methanol have significant commercial value. Background

3 Background-continued ReZel has developed a new fluid bed technology and supporting catalyst for producing propylene and isobutene via propane and isobutane dehydrogenation, respectively. This technology use fluid bed reactor, continuously circulated and regenerated catalyst process similar to that of FCC process.

4 Background-continued ReZel’s patented fluid bed non-interrupted regenerated catalyst does not contain precious metal such as platinum (Pt) and palladium (Pd) and is therefore cost effective. This technology is called RGTP.
