4 Effects of Railroads Railroads brought opportunity to many Steel, Coal, Iron, Lumber, Glass Industries Towns Flourished Credit Mobilier Company & Scandal Interstate Commerce Commission (ICC) created to monitor railroad activities and set rates Not truly effective until under Teddy Roosevelt
