2 Peter, the apostle, is first found in Scripture in the Gospels Matthew 4:18 Now as Jesus was walking by the Sea of Galilee, He saw two brothers, Simon who was called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. --- 4:22 Mark 3:13-19, Luke 5:1-11, John 1:35-43 Also a leading figure in the early church Acts 2:14 But Peter, taking his stand with the eleven, raised his voice and declared to them: "Men of Judea and all you who live in Jerusalem, let this be known to you and give heed to my words.
