Concept Map From B.Lepine See following pages Elizabeth, This is my 4 th concept map I’m attempting. I found hard to put all my learning in one page size. I concentrated on the ISD model (cyclical approach) and how I see it in my work Environment. The last pages I go more in details for each phases. I didn’t show the links between each of phases on the last 3 pages but the model (page 3) shows the links of the models.

Feedback InputsOperationOutputs Open System Theory Chaos The environment at work… An open system where the work of one affect the others (interrelated) but also cyclical, and in a constant state of movement and changes (Chaos theory). Environment

AnalysisDesign/Develop/ImplementEvaluate Revise ISD Model: System Thinking (Cyclical Approach)

Analysis Needs Assessment Learning Environment Assessment Work Analysis Identify the leaner Conduct Instructional Analysis Constraint Analysis Resources Analysis Identify Goals and objectives Identify Skills to Learn Identify Entry Behaviors Define the performance problem Series of recommendation Risks and advantages Risk assessment of context and conditions Time, money, people, resources To eliminate the risks We need to be ethical in the process Do we have the human resources to do this project? Do we have the instructional resources material to do this project? Do we have enough monetary resources to do this project? Micro assessment Macro assessment ISD Model: System Thinking (Cyclical Approach) Age, ESL, special needs? Development environment Delivery environment Application environment Job Analysis Task Analysis Content Analysis Skills to learn Which domain? Cognitive Affective Psychomotor

Design Provide Practice Select Media Registration of Students ISD Model: System Thinking (Cyclical Approach) Implement Develo p Create Assessment of the Goals and Objectives Write Performance Objectives Provide Feedback Provide Motivation Test Instructional Material Develop and Select Instructional Materials Develop Media, etc. Generate and Develop Instructional Material Selecting a Delivery System Provide Discovery-type Instruction Provide Example and Practice Sequencing the Instruction Plan Strategies to Develop the Instruction Pilot, Test fields Provide various types of interaction through the course Provide practice for students Develop prototype, pilot project Delivery of Instructional Material Apply Information Gained in the Analysis Plan Structure and Format; Analysis informs Design

Evaluate Formative Evaluation Summative Evaluation …of students…of the course Revise Course and Material Occur During and Between Phase Purpose is to Improve the Instruction before final implementation For Assessing Overall Effectiveness of Instruction …of students…of the course Give Feedback to Student so they know how they are doing Final evaluation of the student learning ISD Model: System Thinking (Cyclical Approach)
