Conscience: The Voice of Your spirit Part 6 Defiled Conscience HEARING GOD FOR MYSELF

I Corinthians 14 10 There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification.

Mark 4 24 And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given. 25 For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath.

Romans 8 children 16 The Spirit himself beareth witness (communicates) with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

Romans 9 1 I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost

God ’ s Spirit God ’ s Spirit Talks Talks directly directly to to My spirit My spirit

Conscience Greek: Suneidesis (soon-i'-day-sis) Co-Perception or to perceive together I Corinthians 6 I Corinthians 6 17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

Conscience ONLY FOUND IN THE NEW TESTAMENT What is Conscience? Conscience is the voice of the your spirit communicating the influence of the Holy Spirit

2 types of Conscience GoodGood EvilEvil

Good Conscience Good – (gk.) Noble, Honorable, affecting the mind agreeably, comforting (peace), confirming (bears witness) VOICE OF BORN AGAIN HUMAN SPIRIT

Evil Conscience Evil – (gk.) Full of labors, annoyances, hardships, pressed and harassed, bringing toil, causing pain and trouble VOICE OF GUILT (comes from LAW: self-righteous, i.e.. Pharisees)

6 Conditions of a Good Conscience Pure Defiled Weak Strong Seared (callous) Tender

Pure Conscience PURE –(gk.) clean, clear; to prune so as to bear fruit; purified by fire: free from corrupt desire, sincere, genuine, free from every admixture of what is false, free from guilt

I Timothy 3 9 Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.

Romans 13 AMP {make no provision for [indulging] the flesh}{[put a stop to thinking about the evil cravings of your physical nature] to [gratify its] desires (lusts).} 14 But clothe (gk.- sinking into a comfortable garment) yourself with the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah), and {make no provision for [indulging] the flesh} {[put a stop to thinking about the evil cravings of your physical nature] to [gratify its] desires (lusts).}

Defiled Conscience DEFILED- (gk.) Pollute, Sully, contaminate, stain, Also VIOLATE : unauthorized intrusion or assault (by guilt or admixture of false)

Acts 24 16 And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void to offence toward God, and toward men.

Titus 1 10 For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: 11 Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake. 12 One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, the Cretians are alway liars, evil beasts, slow bellies. 13 This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith;

Titus 1 14 Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth. 15 Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled. 16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

Proverbs 20 27 The spirit of man (conscience) is the candle of the LORD (light), searching all the inward parts of the belly.

I John 1 5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: [ ] [ 7 But if we walk in the light (according to our conscience), as he is in the light (one spirit with the Lord), we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.]

I John 1 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess (gk. – acknowledge) our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

I John 2 1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: 2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
