Percent of Income Replacement (Pre-tax) Employers typically manage cost of Group LTD by: Limiting monthly benefit to a maximum of $5,000 - $10,000 Covering salary only LTD Plan - 60% to $10,000 Four employees: w Non-executive - $50,000 salary w Exec 1 - $100,000 salary/$ 50,000 bonus w Exec 2 - $200,000 salary/$100,000 bonus w Exec 3 - $300,000 salary/$200,000 bonus Highest income earners receive lowest percentage of benefit.
