What is Ramadan It’s a special month when grown up Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset They pray and read Quran Be kind to everyone And help the poor

Muslims wake up before sunrise, eat, as much as they like,and then promise to God that they will only eat or drink again at sunset

Children don’t have to fast. They celebrate Ramadan by helping the poor, joining their parents in prayers and by being kind

Five Muslims prayers and their approx. timings Fajr – 5 am Zuhr – 1 pm Asr – 5 pm Maghrib – 7 pm Isha – 9 pm

Then at sunset, they eat and drink again. Dates are a special treat because it was the fruit Prophet Muhammad used to break his fast with!
