2. WORD ORDER I – Afirmative Sentences (A ORDEM DAS PALVRAS I) In English have some different forms to write or speak a sentence.  The frenquent order is: Subject + Verb + Direct Objetc + Adverbial Phrase Examples: a) We have lunch at 12 o’clock. Subject: We Verb: Have Direct Object: lunch Adverbial Phrase: at 12 o’clock

3.  If have an indirect object the order can be two ways: 1st Form: Subject + Verb + Indirect Object + Direct Object + Adverbial Phrase Example: They gave me a nice watch on my bithday. 2nd Form: Subject + Verb + Direct Object + to + Indirect Object + Adverbial Phrase They gave a nice watch to me in my birthday.

4.  If have auxiliary verb or modal verbs, they are put before the main verb. Examples: a) He has finished the project in two days. Subject: he Main or Modal: has Verb: finished Direct Object: the Project Adverbial Phrase: in two day b) You must do your homework tonight. Subject: you Main or Modal: must Verb: do Direct Object: your homework Adverbial Phrase: tonight

5. WORD ORDER I – Negative Sentences (A ORDEM DAS PALVRAS I)  The word order of a negative sentence is: Subject + Auxiliary + NOT + Verb + Direct Object + Adverbial Phrase Examples: We do not have English classes every day. (We don’t have English classes every day.) They have not finished their homework in time. (They haven’t finished their homework in time.)

6. WORD ORDER I – Interrogative Sentences (A ORDEM DAS PALVRAS I)  To express na interrogative sentence we use two forms: 1st Form: Auxiliary Verb + Subject + Main Verb + (Object) Examples: Do you speak Korean? Do you come here very often? Does your mother like tea? Did you brother come with us? Did he watch the movie yesterday?

7.  2nd Form Modal Verb + Subject + Main Verb + Object) (Be, have, will) Examples: Can you swim? Have you studied English long? Will he call to you tonight? Is she late again?
