2. There are several types of relationships we have and need to maintain: Family Relationships Social Relationships Spiritual Relationships Relationships with the Opposite Sex ……etc.

3. FAMILY RELATIONSHIPS: Family Relationships are always physical. Will not be successful and useful for God without involvement of God and giving proper priority to Him.

4. PROBLEMS IN FAMILY RELATIONSHIPS: Communication Gap - Between Parent & Parent - Between Parents & Children - Between Children & Parents especially teenagers to children.

5. Family Altar: The Best place of Communication - Communicating with God - Communicating with each other THERE SHOULD NOT BE ANYTHING HIDDEN BETWEEN FAMILY MEMBERS

6. Col 3:18-21 18Wives, submit to your own husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. 19Husbands, love your wives and do not be bitter toward them. 20Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is well pleasing to the Lord. 21Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged.

7. SOCIAL RELATIONSHIPS: Social Relationships are related to your social interaction. Out of the family we are in a social set up.

8. “MAN IS A SOCIAL ANIMAL” In a social set up we come across various people groups and strata. - Neighbors - Friends - Classmates - Colleagues - Bosses & Subordinates

9. Col 3:17 And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

Philippians 2:14,15 14Do all things without complaining and disputing, 15that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, 16holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain.

11. Col 3:22 Bondservants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh, not with eyeservice, as men- pleasers, but in sincerity of heart, fearing God. Subordinatesattitude towards superiors.

12. Col 4:1 Masters, give your bondservants what is just and fair, knowing that you also have a Master in heaven. Superiors attitude.

13. SPIRITUAL RELATIONSHIPS: Remember that spiritual relationship is called Fellowship.

14. The basis of all spiritual relationships is our relationship with God. 1Jo 1:3 “that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ”.

17. COUNTING OTHERS GREATER 1Ti 5:1,2 1Do not rebuke an older man, but exhort him as a father, younger men as brothers, 2older women as mothers, younger as sisters, with all purity.

Philippians 2:1-4 1Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, 2fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. 3Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. 4 Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.

DEALING WITH INTER-PERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS: Mt 18:14-17 14 "Even so it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish. 15"Moreover if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother. 16 "But if he will not hear, take with you one or two more, that 'by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.' 17 "And if he refuses to hear them, tell it to the church. But if he refuses even to hear the church, let him be to you like a heathen and a tax collector.
