Rules for Determining Significant Figures 1.) All Non-Zero digits are Significant. 1.) All Non-Zero digits are Significant. For example: 134.987 m = SIX Significant Figures. For example: 178,000 ml = 3 Significant Figures For example: 178,000 ml = 3 Significant Figures
