4. GIRLS FOOTBALL Could all girls interested in joining the girls football team please meet Miss McNeill on TODAY at morning interval in the games hall. All year groups are welcome!

5. S6 Silver Group Meeting for all participants: after school, room 105, Thursday 10 th September, 3.30pm- 5.30pm to work on routecards and prepare for expeditions. Next meeting 17 th September to be confirmed

6. Do you enjoy science? Do you like practical work and experiments? Then science club is for you!!! CALLING ALL S1 STUDENTS!

7. Interested? There are lots of activities planned and if there is something in particular you would like to try then ask and we can do our best to make it happen! Many of the activities will be hands on and you might get to make things and take them home! If you are interested please come along to Room 124 at 1.20pm on Wednesday the 2 nd of September to register your interest-maximum 20 places!!!

8. Rugby fixtures begin this weekend! Buses this weekend vs PL. s1,2 and 16s leave @8.15.(9.30KO) u15s and u18s bus leaves @9.30 (10.45KO) Two separate KO times!

9. Come along to Dance Studio A Monday 31 st August 1:10pm to register interest with Miss McCardle.... Disco/Zumba/RnB/Freestyle/Jazz/Ibiza anthems! A different style every week! S1-S2 Take time out to “Dance for Fun!” Monday Lunchtimes!

10. Higher Education Convention at Edinburgh Corn Exchange - Monday 31st August. There still remain places on this trip. It is recommended that students who are considering going to University should attend this convention. £4 should be handed into the Guidance Base to secure your place.

11. Artwork - All pupils who have still to pick up work from last session please do so by tomorrow.

12. Cake and Tray Bake Sale Friday, 28 August at interval In the Atrium Treat yourself to a cake and help raise funds to bring pupils from Umlazi Township, South Africa across to Lasswade High School!

13. Netball Club The school’s Netball Club will start back Wednesday 2 nd September at 3:45pm-4:45pm. So if you played last season and want to return please come along to the Games Hall. New members are always welcome too! Please could the members of the Senior Team come for a meeting on Friday 28 th August at break in Miss Mollon’s room (302) to discuss coaching.

14. S1-6 Hockey club! Mr Sands and Miss Hume will be coaching a hockey club on Tuesday 3:45-5pm on the astro. Girls and boys, all ages and abilities welcome! Interested? Come along to the astro on Tuesday 1 September at 3:45pm in your PE kit (bring hockey sticks and shin pads if you have them) for our first meeting!

15. Ski Club All years invited (S1-S6) Beginners to Advanced Every Wednesday at Hillend Ski Centre 3.45pm – 6.30pm Forms necessary – See Mr Shanks room 301 on Thursday27 August or Monday 31 August at 1.30pm First session Wednesday 2 September

16. Dance Club Dance is back on Mondays! 3.45pm-4.45pm in the Studio All welcome!

17. Lasswade Girls Rugby (All ages) Starts Monday 31 st of August afterschool in PE with Mr Graham. 3.30-4.30 Meet in the PE department afterschool. All new players welcome!!!

19. The next instalment of £150 is due by 31 st August. Please bring your passport for it to be photocopied. For those that didn’t make June’s payment see Miss McLay in 215.
