9 The Heavy Ion Fusion Virtual National Laboratory Post doctoral opportunity in the Heavy Ion Fusion Science Virtual National Laboratory A post doctoral opportunity for computational and theoretical research into heavy ion beam driven target physics, heavy ion beam driven warm dense matter physics, and/or heavy ion accelerator and beam physics is expected to be available starting fall 2009. The successful candidate will be an employee of Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, part of a three laboratory collaboration (with Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory) on Heavy Ion Fusion and Heavy Ion Driven High Energy Density Physics. Experience in computational modeling, hydrodynamics, ICF target physics, warm dense matter physics, and/or beam physics is recommended. Interested individuals should contact: Dr. John Barnard (barnard1@llnl.gov) or Dr. Alex Friedman (friedman1@llnl.gov)
