4 Alaska is made up of mountains. * It’s natural resources include: Gold, coal, silver, lead, zinc, seafood, lumber, oil, natural gas. * Some of the industry and farming include: crabbing, mining, trucking, logging

5 * Benny Benson was the designer of Alaska’s flag. * Vitus Bering discovered Alaska. * Sara Palin ran for president.

6 * Alaska’s climate is cold. * Alaska’s summers are warm. * It’s winters are really cold. * It’s falls and springs are cool.

7 * World War II took place in 1940-1944. * Alaska became a state in 1959.
