2. Ancient Greek Art
The Greeks made many forms of art such as coin design also pottery and gem engraving. The Greeks like most European cultures did not classify painting as a form of art so not much of that was done.
The art is divided into four periods:
- Geometric
- Archaic
- Classical
- Hellenistic

3. Architecture
The Greeks loved architecture and made sure that everything they built was big and beautiful. There were three architectural systems, called orders that the Greeks used.

4. Writing
The Greek alphabet has been used for the past 2,750 years since 750 BC.
The Greek alphabet was the first one to include vowels
When Greece first made there alphabet there were many different versions of it that was used in various different Greek cities.
The alphabet was originally written horizontally from right to left but in 500 BC the direction of writing changed from left to right.
Originally written horizontal lines either from right to left or alternating from right to left and left to right (boustrophedon/βουστροφηδόν). Around 500 BC the direction of writing changed to horizontal lines running from left to right

7. Trojan War
The Trojan War is known to be one of the most important events in Greek mythology. The war was against the city of Troy, by the armies of the Achaeans. Many ancient Greeks believe that is took place between the 13th or 12th century BC.

It all started when Zeus became king of the gods and was not faithful to his wife. Zeus had many relationships in which many children were born so Zeus decided that there were too many people populating the earth so he came up with the idea to have a Trojan war decrease the population of people.
