Wildland Firefighter (WLFF) notifies Servicing Human Resources Office (SHRO) of intention to participate in Department of the Interior Medical Review Board (DOI MRB) within fifteen days of 1 st level determination Upon receipt of notification, SHRO will send 1 st level file to the Department of the Interior Medical Standards Program (DOI MSP) 15 DAYS DAYS 2 nd level Risk Mitigation/Waiver Process

DOI-MRB Review 1 st level Interactive Risk Assessment Risk Mitigation or Waiver draft Advice from the WFSPM MO determination Supporting documentation provided by the SHRO Medical review on the WLFF’s disqualification issues from a Medical Evaluation Official who presents the review at the DOI-MRB.

35 DAYS DOI MSP schedules/facilitates the DOI-MRB no earlier than thirty five days after receiving the 1 st level RM/W file from the SHRO DOI-MRB members review the case and vote to concur/non concur with the WLFF’s request for Risk Mitigation or Waiver, and defines the DOI-MRB recommendations for the MO

5 DAYS NIFC Employee Relations Specialist (NIFC ERS) delivers the DOI-MRB recommendation memo to the appropriate Fire Director to transmit to the MO within five days of the DOI-MRB

10 DAYS MO completes a decision memo and transmits it to the FMO, WLFF, SHRO, WFSPM, NIFC ERS and DOI MSP within 10 days
