4. What he made of himself… He enlisted into the Czechoslovak army Spent most of his time drinking and philandering 1935 he joined the pro-Nazi Sudeten German Party

5. His Factory Oskar was able to get the German's to approve the opening of an enamelware that had gone bankrupt He hired a Jew named Stern as his bookkeeper and they became close friends Later he hired more Jews that worked efficiently for low wages (Oskar Schindler, Encyclopedia Britannica)

6. What was going on with his employees? Spring of 1940, the Nazi-cracked down against Jews started Schindler had to pay the Jews wages to the SS officers In august Nazi authorities had a regulation ordering all but “work-essential” Jews to leave the city

8. Jail Time... Schindler was arrested for dealing in black market goods, he was released with the help of his connections with the SS officers He was arrested again for kissing a Jewish girl on the day of his birthday, he was again released by connections and by bribing the officers
