words And… did I mention, MORE words??

Can someone read this in the most yawny, dry voice of all time? START READING BELOW: There are three reasons why I like baseball. Here you go with the three reasons. The first reason is that I can get exercise. I like to run. The second reason is that I can keep up with many interesting teams. One is the Atlanta Braves. The third reason is that it has been passed down in my family from my grandfather to my father to my brother to me. That is why I like baseball. Do you like baseball? I will always like baseball. Thank you for reading my essay about baseball.

This writer’s gift- Bob The Tomato I am sorry to tell you, but this is a writer suffering from Dead Writer’s Syndrome. Why?

Do YOU suffer from Dead Writer’s Syndrome?

Yet writers do not let those days get them down. Do you let one poor game out on the field stop you from playing sports for the rest of your life? I hope not… or you’d be Chicken Little. Well, it’s the same with writing. As you learn to be a Lean Mean Fighting Machine as you write, you’ll want to shine more and more! Oh, yeah, by the way. Those people at the bottom… I wouldn’t be showing them for nothing at all. They are the authors of some of your favorite books. Smack dab in the center is C.S. Lewis who wrote The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. Do you think he ever gave up? I’m sure he had PLENTY of bad writing days.

The last reader you want to put to sleep is Ms. Jasztal because she’s your writing teacher and if you put her to sleep, she’d be like Rip Van Winkle and never wake up.

-Using Color Words -Leading In Your Reader! -Using Million Dollar Words (instead of deadpan words, of course) -Using Your Five Senses -Talk To Me! -Personal Experiences Today, you will learn about six strategies you can use to be a “Lean, Mean, Writing Machine”. They are…

Last Words- Don’t be the next victim of Dead Writer’s Syndrome! Today, you will be using many different strategies that will prevent you from becoming the next dead writer!
