UCN 2014 Installation: Alignment Plan 4 Alignment Plan & Logistics Plan being developed in consultation w/ Alignment group & D.Pearce Purchase Order for laser-tracker rental from Hexagon Metrology Alignment Plan Overview Fiducialize magnets, frames & other B/L components w/ Laser Tracker - Shoot array of points (upstream/downstream) on each component Shoot Vault & 1A monuments w/ Laser Tracker & establish coord. system Lay down grid of new monuments (Vault & 1A tunnel) & record - Number/Locations of new monuments (consult Bruno/Mike) Paint floor and/or lay down scribe lines Mark drill location (and angle) on Immovable-block for coring Install/Locate frames (Theodolite or Laser Tracker) Install/Align magnets/components according to schedule - Use Laser Tracker to position fiducialized points
