3 Uses of Acids 1. Acids are used in the production of metal, paper, paint, detergents and fertilizers 2. Acids are used in car batteries 3. Hydrochloric acid is found in our stomach. 4. Citric acid is found in vitamin C

4 Properties of Bases 1. Bases have bitter taste. 2. Bases are corrosive
3. Bases feel slippery 4. Solutions of bases conduct electric current. 5. Bases change red litmus paper blue.

5 Uses of Bases 1. Bases are used to make soap
2. Bases are used in household products 3. Bases are used in production of fertilizers 4. Bases are used to treat heartburn.
