15. Deviant Behavior v. Criminal Behavior Deviant behavior is breaking a social norm. Criminal behavior is defined as violating of a social norm that has been requires of prohibited by a law. A deviant behavior is not always a criminal behavior.

16. How do we define Criminal Behavior? First we must remember that our laws in the United States are based on the morals of those who first created them. Most of the laws in the United States have religious bases. Killing, stealing, assault, and bearing false witness are taught in many of the world religions.
