13 EVENTS, ACTIONS, LAWS  1989 - Native Americans awarded $80 million in compensation for lost land.  Secretary of Interior for Indian Affairs - Federal Post created by the government to protect Native American interests

14 NYS and Native Americans  County of Oneida v. Oneida Indian Nation of NYS  Supreme Court ruled that Native Americans had a right to sue to enforce original land rights.
