Your Brain! By:Lundon Hatcher

Well…What about it? You have a left and right side of the brain, what is its relationship? How do they communicate and interact? What would happen if they no longer could communicate and have a relationship?

The Relationship The right and left hemispheres of the brain and connected by the Corpus Callosum The corpus callosum is a thick bundle of nerve fibers that connects the two hemispheres, without it they could not communicate

How they communicate The corpus callosum is how the right and left side of the brain send messages; however certain messages go to certain sides Right hemisphere = controls ? Left hemisphere= controls ?

Right side of body Left side of body

Test your brain communication

Cut the communication Split brain

The Relationship The brain has a strange relationship, it controls opposite sides of the body and has different functions; however the relationship between the two hemispheres is important for our most simple and most complex tasks. The relationship between the brain is also unique in that it can function as a whole or as two separate hemispheres

What does this mean? The brain its function and relationship with itself and us, is much more than we can fathom The brain has such strong communication that one has troubles when trying to only use one side. When communication is cut the brain adapts and can still function. I only discussed one part of the brain, imagine the relationships it has with all the other parts and your body
