9 Cultural Tourism Cultural tourism allows you to go back in history of Bulgaria, to touch the monuments dating from Neolithic times to learn more about the cultural history left by the various tribes (Bulgarians, Thracians, Slavs) and the peoples who inhabited the beautiful and Bulgarian fertile land. The history of our lands testify preserved monuments of national, regional and local importance. Seven of them are included in the List of World Heritage by UNESCO. These are the Boyana Church, Rila Monastery, Kazanlak Tomb, the Madara horseman, Thracian tomb Sveshtari, Old Nessebar, Ivanovo rock monasteries.
