7 7 Statewide Contracts Statewide contracts are competitively bid contracts to leverage pricing for large quantities of goods that are repetitively purchased by multiple state and local agencies.

15 15 CMAS – Definition of Program Created in 1994 Legal Authority PCC Sections 10290 et seq. and Section 12101.5 Administrated by DGS, Procurement Division

16 16 CMAS – How Contracts are Developed (1) No competitive solicitations done by CMAS to establish contracts Federal GSA’s or other multiple award contracts used as base contracts CMAS suppliers are: GSA (base) contract holders (such as IBM) Piggy backers (such as CompuCom)

17 17 CMAS – How Contracts are Developed (2) Established using terms and conditions, products, services and prices from existing multiple award, competitively bid or cost compared contracts.

18 18 CMAS – How Contracts are Developed (3) CMAS adds: CA Terms & Conditions CMAS User Instructions These are now independent CA CMAS contracts (once the above have been applied)
