3 Feb. 2006 Went into labor after OB visit Twin weighed 1lb. 3 oz. Died shortly after birth – Claire Labor was “halted” by use of Magnesium Sulfate for two weeks Could not bend – muscle atrophy Steroid shots (March of Dimes) WHEN IT HAPPENED

4 1 lb. 10 oz. Lost weight – 1lb. 6 oz. Size of a coke bottle Wedding ring on his wrist / thigh Blood pressure cuff – size of adult thumb JONATHAN

5 PERSPECTIVE ON SIZE 1 week old

6 PERSPECTIVE ON SIZE 12 days old

7 Brain Bleeds Ducts in the top of the brain / spinal column Organ failure Major organ failure (Heart, Kidney, Lung, Intestine) Eyesight Developmental delays PROBLEMS WE DID NOT HAVE TO FACE

8 Before he came home Death of the child - twin Development of lungs – steroid shots during stopped labor Breathing Organ (heart) development PDA - patent ductus arteriosus Infections - 3 Ventilator CPAP (face mask) Jaundice – Blue light Hernia Jaundice – That is what the blue light is for Gaining weight – measured in grams Feeding Passing the “Car Seat” test 3 months in NICU After he came home Hernia surgery Cyst in esophogus Nasal surgery ADD / ADHD – He is just “wired” differently PROBLEMS WE FACED
